Let me just say first that I loved it! Of course, I loved the first two films also, along with the Lord of the Rings trilogy. So I'm a fan. Big time. The story is phenomenal, the graphics superb, and the effects top notch. The dragon attacks Laketown and even though he's defeated there is still a battle to be fought for the Lonely Mountain and the riches it contains. Thorin has somehow contracted dragon fever where he wants to jealously hoard the gold and acts irrationally for a large part of the movie. But our intrepid hobbit never loses faith and, as we all know, survives the various armies of elves, dwarves, humans, and not one but two armies of orcs and their assorted monsters. So go enjoy!
